STEAMTANK GALLERY
In most of my con reports, I mention steamtanks; some of you may wonder, "What's up with that?"
In the movie Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shamballa, there is a scene in which Ed and Al are standing in an abandoned building, reflecting after a sucessful battle. After a heart-felt speech, Ed randomly blows up the building. When asked WHY, he simply states, "I didn't like it - I made some adjustments to the steamtanks."
At Sakuracon 2007, My friend Kayla was cosplaying as Ed and took a picture "adjusting a steamtank" (really, a pressure wheel in a back-corner of one of the hotels.) Since then, it’s become a running joke and con tradition to take pictures with "steamtanks" whenever possible. No matter the costume.
