Hello and welcome to RynnCosplay.com! 6/14/2010 - WCS Update
Hi everyone! I just wanted to give a quick update regarding the WCS. Krystal and I created a Livejournal community where you can follow our plans and progress as we prepare for our trip to Japan. The community is located here. Also, I uploaded our skit to the media section of the site - you can watch all of the other preliminary performances here. No Fanime report yet but I hope to have that up soon! Bye for now.
 6/7/2010 - FANIME 2010
I am back from Fanime! I had an amazing time last year and an even better time this year! I got to spend 6 days with some of my favorite people and wore a ton of costumes. However, the most notable/emotional part of the weekend was the World Cosplay Summit preliminary competition. My friend Krystal and I dreamed of competing for the WCS for years and we worked very hard to put together a performance for the con. By some miracle, we won! We were both BEYOND shocked. I am so honored to be a part of WCS and I will be posting any plans/progress to our Livejournal community, here. For more information about the WCS, please click the link in the sidebar.
5/17/2010 - ACEN 2010
Acen is my hometown convention but this year I was only able to make it to the con for one day. That being said, the one day I spent at Acen was a lot of fun and I'm really glad I went! My friend Megan made me a Serah costume from FF13 as a surprise gift, which was a perfect, comfortable costume for walking around all day. To read more about the convention, feel free to check out the Cons section of the site. Next up is Fanime, which I'm really looking forward to! I have a lot of work to do but I'm so excited!
4/22/2010 - SAKURACON 2010
It's hard to believe I'm back from my FOURTH Sakuracon. I had an amazing time last year but had an even better time this year! I brought two new costumes: Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi and Jessie from Pokemon. NOTN even managed to win Best in Show in the masquerade - our 2nd year in a row! You can watch our skit How 2B A Master in the media section. Also, although I am still waiting for some photos, I have started uploading pictures to the Miaka and Jessie pages. (Con report should follow shortly.) Thanks again for another awesome year, Sakuracon!
11/21/2009 - YOUMACON 2009
Once again, Youmacon has come and gone. I had a great time at the con and got to cosplay with people that I love. My friends and I managed to pick up a few awards too, including Best Journeyman Performance, a judges award for craftsmanship and Best of Friday in the hall contest! I'm in limbo, waiting for photographers to upload photos from the con but I have posted the photos I have so far which you can find on the White Rose and Ai Ebihara costume pages. I also uploaded our Saga Frontier skit to the media section. I'll be back soon with more photos and the con report ASAP. Bye for now!
10/06/2009 - BASIC DYE TUTORIAL
I have been getting ready for Youmacon and, for the first time, I'm making some costumes that require me to dye my own fabric. Before I dyed fabric for the first time, it always seemed very intimidating to me. For that reason, I decided to post a Basic Dyeing Tutorial over at my livejournal. Dyeing isn't rocket science but if you are considering dyeing for the first time, hopefully this tutorial will make you feel more comfortable with the process.
7/22/2009 - ACEN 2009 & FANIME 2009
Phew, finally! I've been back from Fanime for almost 2 months but real life really snuck up on me and I'm just now getting all caught up with cosplay. I attended two conventions in May, Acen and Fanime and wore lots of (new and old) costumes. I have tons of new photos up in the following galleries: Chibimoon, Rosette, Shion, Sakura, and Silent Hill Nurse.
